How should I organize evidence?
Keep visible observations separate from interpretations. An observation might be the letters you can read on a stamp. A possible maker is an interpretation that needs a supporting reference. Save the original source, the detail it supports and any conflicting evidence.
What belongs in an object record?
ICOM's Object ID documentation standard includes photographs, measurements, marks and descriptive information. It is a useful reference for creating an object record; it is not a valuation service. See ICOM Object ID. CuriSnap's worksheets are research aids, not a certification of compliance.
How should a future value estimate be explained?
A future connected service should identify its comparison sources, sale dates, original currencies, fee treatment and material differences. When evidence is insufficient, it should say so. This is a product requirement, not a description of a feature already running.
Who reviewed the guides?
No named specialist reviewer has been appointed in this preview. The pages visibly carry draft status. Before publication, the site owner needs to appoint a reviewer, verify category claims and provide genuine authorship and contact information. We do not use invented credentials, customer ratings or accuracy statistics.
Are the images reference specimens?
No. Website artwork is AI-generated illustration. It is not a catalogue of authenticated antiques and should not be used as proof of an object's maker, age, material or value.
How are changes recorded?
The September 5, 2026 content expansion adds category-specific research worksheets and a research library. Dates should change only after a substantive revision. When the site launches, each published page needs a review record and a working corrections contact.
